Terms of Use — Helm App

Version 1.1 · July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Helm App, the client portal provided by Aran Accounting to its clients in Ireland. The accounting and tax services themselves are governed by your engagement letter with the firm — these terms cover the portal.

1. The service

The Helm App lets clients of Aran Accounting issue invoices, track financial information, upload and store documents, follow deadlines and manage their details with the firm. It is a client tool, not a standalone product: access requires an active client relationship with Aran Accounting.

2. Accounts and sign-in

Accounts are created by Aran Accounting for its clients — there is no self-registration. Sign-in uses single-use magic links sent to your registered email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure and for telling us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

3. Acceptable use

  • Only upload documents and information related to your engagement with the firm.
  • Do not attempt to access other clients' data or to probe, disrupt or overload the service.
  • Do not upload unlawful content or malware.

4. Your information and our advice

Figures shown in the app reflect the information you and the firm have recorded and are provided for your engagement with us. Content in the app is not standalone tax or legal advice; advice is provided under your engagement letter.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the portal available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance or security reasons.

6. Termination

Access ends when your client relationship with Aran Accounting ends, or earlier if these terms are breached. Records the firm must legally retain are kept per the Privacy Policy.

7. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Questions: contact@aran-accounting.ie.
